One origin. Nothing to hide behind.
The Caller comes from El Tulipán, a community of smallholder farmers in the Huila region of southern Colombia. If you've tried our Black Gold, you've already tasted part of this story. The Colombian beans in that blend come from the same source. But here, there's no Brazilian counterpart to lean on. It's just Huila, standing on its own.
El Tulipán - Huila sits in southern Colombia where altitude, volcanic soil, and equatorial climate create some of the best growing conditions on the planet. The farmers here work small plots on green hillsides, partnering with a local cooperative that keeps quality consistent across the community.
Cherries are depulped within 8 to 24 hours of harvest, no waiting around. They're fermented overnight in open tanks, washed clean, then transferred under solar panels to dry. The panels stabilize the temperature and protect the beans from rain, which is what locks in that bright, clean flavour profile. Once dried, the parchment is milled off and the beans are shipped to our roastery.
The result is a cup with real clarity. Lime acidity up front, caramel sweetness through the middle, and a chocolate milk finish that rounds the whole thing out. Light roast lets the origin speak for itself and Huila has a lot to say.
Single origin. One farm community, one region, one story. No blending, no hiding. What you taste is exactly where it came from.

FAQs
When do you guys roast each batch?
We roast fresh every week according to the volume needed each day.
Whole bean or ground? which should I pick?
Whole bean keeps the flavour locked in longer. But if you don't have a grinder, ground works just fine. We grind it right before we ship so it's as fresh as possible. No judgement either way — just drink what works for you.
How should I store my coffee?
Cool, dry place. Keep the bag sealed. Don't put it in the fridge or freezer — that actually pulls moisture in and kills the flavour. A cupboard is perfect.
How much coffee do I need?
A 340g (12oz) bag gets most people through about 20 to 25 cups. A 2lb bag is roughly 45 to 50 cups. Depends on how strong you like it and how many cups you go through, but that's the ballpark.
Do you offer subscriptions?
Yes. Set your frequency and we'll ship automatically so you never run out. Subscribers save 15% on every order. You can pause, skip, or cancel anytime — no contracts, no hassle.
How long does shipping take?
Local orders (Edmonton, Leduc, Nisku area) ship the same week. Canada-wide orders typically arrive within 3 to 5 business days. Free shipping on orders over $75.
Can I pick up my order?
Yes. Free pickup at The First Sip — Premium Outlet Collection EIA, Leduc County, Alberta. Just select local pickup at checkout.
What if I don't like it?
Reach out to us. We're not going to make it weird. If you're not happy, we'll make it right.
Where are your beans from?
Every roast has a different origin — Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, and Mexico. The full story is in the "Origin Details" section on each product page. We are continuously expanding our sources as we grow. We know exactly where every bean comes from and who grew it.
Do you sell to businesses?
We do. We work with offices, shops, restaurants, hotels, and industrial sites across Edmonton and surrounding towns. Free delivery, flexible schedules, and equipment options available. Reach out and we'll set up a tasting for your team.
