Our Story
HOW RIDGELINE STARTED
Ridgeline Roast started the way most real things do. Three people in Edmonton who saw an opportunity and decided to go for it. No investors. No business degrees. Just a cafe, a roaster, and the belief that Albertans deserve better coffee than what's been sitting in a warehouse for three months.
Jay had the cafe. The First Sip, at the Premium Outlet Collection near the Edmonton airport. Christian and Zaher had the drive to build something bigger. Together, they started roasting, testing, and delivering coffee to anyone who'd try it. First out of the cafe. Then, out of Christian's truck. Then to businesses, offices, and shops across the Leduc corridor and into Edmonton.
We named it after the ridgeline of the Canadian Rockies. Because that's what Alberta looks like from the highway, and because building something from nothing feels a lot like climbing a mountain you can't see the top of.
The vision is to take "Good coffee. Real people." worldwide. But we're doing it the Alberta way. One handshake, one delivery, one cup at a time. Edmonton first. Then the world.
