We saw value where
others saw nothing.

Ridgeline Roast started in Leduc, at The First Sip, Jay's cafe at the Premium Outlet Collection. Christian, Zaher and Jay kept talking across the counter until the talk turned into a plan, and Drin joined a couple of weeks later. Four co-founders. No investors. No playbook.

The first thing we did was get in the truck. We drove to the towns the big roasters had decided were too small, too far, or too boring to bother with: the bakeries, the diners, and the corner cafes that keep a town running. We didn't see small. We saw the people who built this province.

That's still how we see everything. The roast at dawn, the bag sealed by hand, and the first sip after a brutal morning are the boring parts of life and of this business. To us, they're the best parts. Today we pour for homes, cafes, offices and job sites across Alberta, from Edmonton to the smallest town on the map, and every coffee is roasted every week in Alberta.

We named it after the ridgeline of the Canadian Rockies. Because that's what Alberta looks like from the highway, and because building something from nothing feels a lot like climbing a mountain you can't see the top of.
