Roast day

Small batches.
Every week.

Roasted in small batches, every week, in Alberta. Your bag isn't pulled from months-old inventory. It's roasted for you, this week. That's the difference you taste.

Sourcing and roasting

From farm to your cup

  1. 01

    Harvest

Cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness by farming families in Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Peru and Mexico. Only ripe cherries make the cut.

  2. 02

    Processing

Depending on origin: washed, natural, or EA Natural Decaf. Each method is chosen to bring out the best in that specific bean.

  3. 03

    Direct Trade

Our beans reach us through direct relationships with farms and cooperatives, not through commodity brokers. We know which farms and co-ops grew them, and how they were processed.

  4. 04

    Q-Graded 84-85+

Every lot is evaluated by certified Q-graders before we accept it. Scoring 84-85+ places our beans firmly in specialty grade, the top tier of global coffee quality.

  5. 05

    Roasted Weekly in Alberta

Not monthly. Not quarterly. Weekly. Every coffee is roasted every week in Alberta, and the roast date is printed on the bag, not a best-before date.

  6. 06

    Diedrich Infrared Roasters

Infrared drum roasting gives precise control over temperature curves. Every batch is profiled individually.

  7. 07

    Small Batch, Every Week

Roasted in small batches, every week, in Alberta. Your bag isn't pulled from months-old inventory. It's roasted for you, this week. That's the difference you taste.

  8. 08

    Controlled Batches

We always roast in controlled batches. Growing does not mean bigger roasts, it means more of them. The cup stays the same.

  9. 09

    Your Cup

Packed with a roast date, shipped fresh, and in your hands within days. Not weeks. Not months. Days.
